Mira Winery Aquaoir Wine Taste Test & Chef Pairing Dinner

Mira Winery is pleased to offer a select few of our restaurant partners the opportunity to host a blind tasting of our ocean-aged wine (Aquaoir) and a Winemaker Chef pairing dinner.  The two events should be hosted in tandem, with the tasting followed by the dinner.  There are several stipulations we hope you will review and agree to before committing to a date.  Both events will be opportunities for your customers.

An Aquaoir tasting is an opportunity to gather 18 of your customers for a blind taste test of Mira’s Aquaoir ocean-aged 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon against the same wine aged on land.

Requirements for hosting a tasting:

•    The blind taste test must be limited to 18 individuals. Mira will provide the wine at no charge to the restaurant (one bottle each of the Aquaoir ocean-aged 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon against the land-aged 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon)

•    The restaurant is responsible for the selecting 18 attendees.

•    There is no cost for participating in the tasting.

•    The restaurant agrees to work with Mira on a date that allows for attendance by the Winemaker and/or President.

•    The restaurant will be responsible for providing glassware, spittoons, wine keys, water and water glasses.

•    If requested, Mira’s marketing and public relations professionals will assist in publicizing the event.

•    The tasting will consist of:

o    Participants blindly tasting the Aquaoir ocean-aged 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon against the land-aged 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon.
o    Participants will complete a questionnaire during the tasting that will be collected afterwards.
o    A discussion will be conducted during the tasting amongst the participants and Mira Winemaker/President.

Following the Aquaoir tasting, a dinner will be held where Mira Wines are paired with the chef’s menu.

•    The number of participants to the dinner is at the discretion of the restaurant.

•    The restaurant determines the cost for each attendee and is responsible for its collection.

•    The restaurant will be responsible for determining the menu and pairing each course with a Mira wine, purchased through the appropriate provider.

•    If requested, Mira’s marketing and public relations professionals will assist in publicizing the event.
