Join Mira On A Seven City, Seven Day Aquaoir Wine Tasting Tour

Mira Winery is excited to announce “Phase Two” of our Aquaoir experiment! We’re kicking off a Seven City, Seven Day tour on November 6th in Charleston, SC! Help us celebrate as we host a blind wine-tasting of the ocean versus land-aged wines in the following cities:

• November 6th   – Charleston, SC
• November 7th   – Washington, DC
• November 8th   – New York, NY
• November 9th   – Palm Beach, FL
• November 10th – Little Rock, AR
• November 11th – San Francisco, CA
• November 12th – Los Angeles, CA

Can the ocean help us to create a better wine?

 

 

Earlier this year, we sought out to answer this question when we submerged four cases in the Charleston Harbor to gauge the effects on the chemistry of the wine. As for the results:

The tour will start simultaneously on November 6th with the launch of Phase II of the ocean aging experiment, when twice as many bottles will be released into the ocean for twice as long – eight bottles for six months.

“During this tour, I am looking forward to sharing the wine aged in Phase I, which I found to be more complex and broad, more open and relaxed than the same wine aged on land.
