2009 Hyde Vineyard Syrah Featured as Top Syrah

When our 100-point winemaker Gustavo Gonzalez set out to produce a Syrah from the Carneros grapes of Hyde Vineyard, he wanted to be able to create a wine with a high level of complexity and depth that would impress all critics, from the novice wine drinker, to the seasoned sommelier. It was a challenge Gustavo accepted readily, and it has become clear after the production of the Mira 2009 Hyde Vineyard Syrah that he succeeded.

We believe our Syrah is successful because you can taste the passion and care with which it was produced. We believe our enthusiasm and obsession with wine, coupled with our penchant for craftsmanship over mass production are the driving forces behind the success of Mira Winery.

But don’t just take our word for it! In a ratings out this week from Gayot.com, the Mira 2009 Hyde Vineyard Syrah ranked in the top 10% of all the wines Gayot has ever tasted. Self noted the “Guide To The Good Life” also features our full-bodied red wine—boasting dark fruit flavors with plenty of spices—as one of their “New Wine Releases” for October 2012.

We at Mira couldn’t be more thrilled and humbled that all of our hard work and dedication to excellence has been recognized and validated.
