Mira Winery featured in Charleston Style & Design Magazine

Mira is honored to be featured in the July 2013 edition of Charleston Style & Design Magazine, the Lowcountry’s leading design and lifestyle magazine. Author Robert Calvert highlights the recent completion of Phase I of our ocean-aging “Aquaoir” experiment as well as reviews our 2010 Pinot Noir, 2009 Syrah and land-aged 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon. Calvert provides readers with historical insight as to when diver Christian Ekström discovered Champagne from a sunken ship in 2010, and how this served as a spark that flamed into our interest in experimenting with ocean aging. Although Calvert did not have the opportunity to taste our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon “Aquaoir,” he considers its land-aged counterpart a “delight” with “a great mouth feel,” and after tasting all three Mira red wine varietals, informs his readers:
