Featured Wine: 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon

Mira Winery would like to feature our 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon.

We invite you to get lost in its enveloping traces of spice, anise and wild forest fruit nose. Flavors of blackberry, mocha and black plum engulf the palate for an enchanting and enduring finish. Our wine is 95 percent Cabernet Sauvignon with 5 percent Cabernet Franc. We age it in 100 percent oak barrels.

Best served between 59 and 64 F, our powerful Cabernet Sauvignon pairs extraordinarily well with equally strong dishes. Light seafood dishes and certain vegetables get lost in the wine’s strength and taste. For the best combination, aim to have it accompany rich red meats, moderate cheeses and dark, rich sauces. If you just love fish and can’t imagine a seafood meal without our Cabernet Sauvignon, serve it with tuna, swordfish or even shark. If vegetables are a part of this dish, make sure they are bitter so as to not have an unpleasant taste.
