Featured Wine: 2010 Chardonnay

Looking for a crisp white wine this holiday season to pair with your favorite dishes, share with a neighbor, or send as a gift?  We recommend Mira Winery’s 2010 Chardonnay.

With a delicate expression of Oak Knoll District, this subtle and reserved Chardonnay has traces of honeysuckle, lime and apricot nose with mango and other tropical flavors. The combination makes for a hazelnut, creamy finish that is decadent and savory. It has been aged in 100 percent stainless steel barrels on the lees for 12 months with no malolactic fermentation.

This delightful unoaked wine pairs great with firm cheeses, salads, simply prepared fish and shellfish and curry dishes if you’re feeling exotic. We recommend serving it at 50-55 F to maximize its flavor potential.

If you’re planning a wine and cheese hour for the holidays, we recommend our 2010 Chardonnay with a nice cheddar cheese to make for a nice, delicious happy hour.
