Featured Wine: 2010 Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir

Fall into Mira 2010 Stanly Ranch Pinot Noir.

Let your senses be seduced by the racy aromas of blueberry, cranberry and morel mushroom flavors that exude a delicate lace-like texture that is easy to lose yourself in. Our Pinot Noir from Carneros AVA in Napa Valley is aged for 12 months in 100 percent French oak barrels and is 75 percent new.

Called by some as the most versatile wine to pair with food, Pinot Noir pairs well with fish, fowl, white meats, grains and lamb, making you forget everything you know about keeping white wine with seafood and red wine with red meat. Savory dishes make a nice companion to this wine. Serve it at 59-64 F, and there is no end to the food-wine combinations you can create.

Featured recipe to pair: Smoked Fennel and Tomato Soup

Behind the scenes: One of our Pinots just about finished fermenting. The cap (all the grapes and solids) are at the top of the tank, juice is below the cap. That’s our wood tanks in the background!
