First Hand Accounts From The Aquaoir Tour
On Mira Winery’s 7 City, 7 Day Aquaoir blind ocean versus land-aged wine tasting tour we were delighted to meet folks from across the nation interested in our experiment, and honored to have them take part in our wine aging experiment. At each tasting Mira requested that each participant complete a questionnaire on wine “A” versus wine “B.” You can see from the list of results (click here) that each tasting provided different outcomes. We were humbled by the praise of our experiment, as well as of our land-aged wine, and are now even more eager than before to continue with Aquaoir and finding out more of what secrets the ocean might hold when it comes to aging wine. Is it temperature, pressure, motion, depth…? Jean Wilson (aka Red Wine Diva) joined us at our first tasting in Charleston, SC and found the difference between the two wines remarkable.
So what was the result of the three-month aging as compared to regular bottle aging? Answer: Significant and Amazing!
Mary Orlin (Huffington Post) joined us at our sixth tasting in San Francisco, CA and admits that though she approached the tasting a little hesitant, she too was convinced that there is some magic to the Aquaoir.
I found this fascinating, having gone into the tasting skeptical that this was more a marketing gimmick than anything. There is a difference in the wine.
It will be interesting to see what results Phase II brings. Be on the look out for more information to come! Click here to learn more about Aquaoir!
