Mira Mural Countdown: Charlotte Jenkins

Day 5: Mira Winery is proud to feature Charlotte Jenkins on our mural "Renoir Redux: Exceptional Pairings."

In the 14 days leading up to the July 1st unveiling of “Renoir Redux: Exceptional Pairings” – a building sized mural on Queen Street in Charleston, South Carolina - and the the groundbreaking of the Napa Valley Education Center and Tasting Room, Mira is profiling each of the 14 faces who have impacted the Charleston food scene that are portrayed in the mural.

Ever since Charlotte Jenkins was nine years old, she has been cooking Gullah foods and showing her passion for the Gullah culture. As the owner of Gullah Cuisine and CJ’s Catering Service, she has been able to serve her food throughout the area and continues to teach the Lowcountry about the Gullah culture. Charlotte is a graduate of the Johnson & Wales School of Culinary Arts and has been mentioned in The Washington Post, NY Times, The Gourmet and Southern Living.
