Day 9: Mira Winery is proud to feature Frank McMahon on our mural "Renoir Redux: Exceptional Pairings."
In the 14 days leading up to the July 1st unveiling of “Renoir Redux: Exceptional Pairings” – a building sized mural on Queen Street in Charleston, South Carolina - and the the groundbreaking of the Napa Valley Education Center and Tasting Room, Mira is profiling each of the 14 faces who have impacted the Charleston food scene that are portrayed in the mural.
As an attendee of the famed Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY, Frank McMahon graduated with honors and earned the superlative “the most likely to succeed” by his peers. Frank has been the Executive Chef of Hank’s Seafood, ever since it’s grand opening in 1999. Hanks has been named one of America’s Best New Restaurants by Esquire Magazine and has been voted the Best Seafood Restaurant in Charleston by the readers of the Charleston City Paper for the past 14 years. At the 2014 Charleston Wine and Food Festival Frank won the Chef of the Year award. In collaboration with fellow restaurateur Hank Holiday, Frank also opened the Brasserie Gigi restaurant in 2014.
