Mira Pinot Noir Hyde 2013

One of Mira’s more elegant and unique wines is the Pinot Noir Hyde 2013.

 
This wine has initial traces of familiar berries and spices playfully reveal themselves as black cherry, raspberry, pomegranate and earth as the wine begins to unwind. Definition from the acidity ensures a long and sublime finish.
 

 
“For this wine, we use the calera clone of the pinot noir grape. This clone isn’t very frequently grown and what we like about it is that it yields a smaller cluster of pinot noir, resulting in more concentration when compared to other clones. The result is much more color, aromatics and structure from the grapes. When we combine this with our wine making and the correct use of oak, we’re able to produce a much more elegant and unique pinot noir when compared to others.” —Gustavo A. Gonzalez, Winemaker
