Mira Winemaker discusses Aquaoir on Wine Crush Radio

Mira Winemaker Gustavo Gonzalez joined Wine Crush radio host Laura Lawson to discuss the difference between Aquaoir (ocean aging) and Terroir. Click here to listen to the entire show.

“The tannins were broader, there was much more too the wine, it was deeper, it was more complex … The land version seemed to be focused more on fruit component and acidity and was not quite as open, where as the Aquaoir was much more broad much more deep, has the fruit still but the tannins layered differently on your palate as it went down your throat.” – Gonzalez

Mira’s ocean-aged Charleston Harbor Aquaoir 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon will be made available to Wine Club Members only starting July 1st at 10am.  The wine will be in a two-pack set which will include our land-aged 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon.  Click here for more information on Aquaoir.  Click here for more information on the wine clubs Mira has to offer.

“Seeing the outcome of this it is definitely getting us very excited to try different things in the very near future.” – Gonzalez
