Which ages better, wine in a warehouse or wine in the ocean? This is what Mira Winery hopes to have a better understanding of after we pull up the four cages of 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon that we submerged 60 feet deep in February 2013. Will the change in controls factors, such as temperature, motion and light, have an effect on the wine? Mira will pull the cages and have them chemically tested and professionally tasted on May 21, 2013 as the conclusion of our phase I “aquaoir” experiment.
