Rhone Rangers History & Special Discount
France is known for producing some of the most exquisite wine the world has tasted, and due to this fact, America has recently tried to replicate the production of this wine. In France’s Rhone River Valley, twenty-two grape varieties have been allowed to grow and flourish for centuries. Because these grapes are versatile with a wide range of flavors, American winemakers have begun planting twelve of these twenty-two grapes in the United States.
The Rhone Rangers, the non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of these American Rhone varietal wines, insists on certain qualifications in order for a wine to be considered a “Rhone Ranger” wine. The winery must be a member of the organization, and 75% of the wine’s content must contain one or more of the twenty-two Rhone grapes the French government has approved for growing in the Cotes du Rhone. The Rhone Rangers is committed to incorporating these wines into our daily lives. Mira Winery is proud to be a member of The Rhone Rangers!
